My name is Michael.

I've tried sustaining a blog since the late 1900s. Command-line HTML, Blogger, LiveJournal, Movable Type, WordPress, Eleventy (don't get me started), and now Ghost. This iteration launched in April 2026; I drew from Eleventy + Stylus Blog Theme – Purple by Aditya Raj and a WordPress Mint color scheme. Daybook is the journal; unprovoked is more or less what I am.

Married cat person, reader, bureaucrat (state government), coffee drinker, lapsed jogger, lover of public transit, shop steward and union board member, longtime listener. My current favorite song is "Does This Go Faster?" by Lala Lala. Most of the time I just stare at the sky.
